Company Information
Our company operates over 750 conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Japan and overseas.
We have expanded internationally to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, China, and Malaysia.
In the next three years, we plan to open a series of new stores in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities
​​​​​​1. Formulation and Execution of Recruitment Strategies
  • Develop short-term and mid-to-long-term recruitment strategies to ensure adequate staffing for store operations.
  • Create recruitment plans considering regional characteristics and seasonal factors (e.g., peak periods).
  • Optimize replenishment plans based on turnover and retention rates.

2. Exploration and Optimization of Recruitment Channels

  • Select and manage job advertisement platforms (e.g., JobStreet).
  • Utilize diverse channels such as the company’s career website, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Analyze recruitment cost and application effectiveness for continuous improvement.

3. Design and Improvement of the Recruitment Process

  • Design and standardize the end-to-end recruitment flow, from application to interview and hiring.
  • ​​Select and improve the recruitment management system.
  • Establish criteria for resume screening and interviews; provide interviewer training.

4. Data Analysis and KPI Management

  • Visualize and improve KPIs such as number of applicants, interview pass rate, hiring rate, and retention rate.
  • Report recruitment status by store and regionConduct causal analysis between resignation data and recruitment activities.

5. Collaboration with Other Departments and On-Site Teams

  • Align staffing plans and hiring requirements with store managers and area managers.
  • Coordinate with the head office’s HR, training, and development teams.
  • Negotiate with external partners such as recruitment agencies, temp agencies, and advertising companies.

6. Employer Branding and Candidate Experience (CX) Improvement

  • Strengthen corporate branding as a retailer (especially to appeal to service crew candidates).
  • Design a smooth applicant journey, including application form improvements and faster response times.

7. Support for Staffing and Shift Management

  • Understand staffing surpluses and shortages at each store to support optimal allocation.
  • Provide shift creation guidelines from HQ and promote the adoption of automated tools.
  • Ensure proper labor hour management.

8. Coordination of Attendance and Payroll Management

  • Design and improve the operation of attendance systems (e.g., timecards, IC card logging).
  • Manage operations for linking attendance data with payroll systems.
  • Identify and correct labor risks such as unpaid overtime or missed time logs.

9. Development and Communication of Work Rules and Labor Policies

  • Establish work rules tailored to the unique employment types in retail.
  • Provide labor training and manuals to on-site leaders (Store Managers, Team Leaders).
  • Ensure compliance with updates to Malaysian labor laws.

10. Labor Relations and Preventive Measures for Workplace Issues

  • Handle initial responses to common labor issues in stores (e.g., shift changes, harassment, discrepancies in working conditions).

11. Enhancing Employee Engagement

  • Design and implement retention measures, such as employee satisfaction surveys and career development support.
  • Develop internal communication strategies that include frontline staff (e.g., Service Crew).
  • Establish systems for stress checks and employee health management.

Job Requirements
  • Japanese Language Proficiency: JLPT N2 level or above, and experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • HR experience (3+ years) in industries such as retail, service, or any field where multi-site operations or high-volume hiring is common
  • Hands-on experience with mass recruitment, including part-time hiring
  • Practical experience in the end-to-end recruitment process, from strategy development to execution
  • Experience in HR operations such as attendance management, labor management, and working hours compliance

Salary Details RM9000 - RM14000
