Security Engineer

Overview
A Security Engineer is needed to design, implement, and maintain security controls across digital systems. This role focuses on protecting applications, infrastructure, and data from cyber threats while ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, infrastructure, and cloud systems
• Monitor systems for threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation tracking
• Work with development and DevOps teams to ensure secure coding and DevSecOps practices
• Manage identity and access controls (authentication and authorization)
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support audits, risk assessments, compliance, and continuous security improvement

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
• 2–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering roles
• Strong understanding of network, application, and cloud security concepts, with familiarity in cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills, with knowledge of DevSecOps; scripting (Python or Bash) is an advantage
